Real Functions: Linear Functions
A linear function is defined by
y = mx + b
where:
- m = slope of line
- b = y-intercept (point of intersection with y-axis when x = 0)
- Identity function is a special case of a linear function with m = 1 and b = 0.
- Constant functions are special cases of linear functions with m = 0 and b = c where c = constant function value
