Composite Numbers
A composite number is defined as a whole number with three or more whole number factors. As an example, the number 12 has six factors:
1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12
as it may be composed by mulitiplying the following pairs of numbers:
3 x 4 = 12, 2 x 6 = 12, 1 x 12 = 12
The first ten composite numbers are provided below:
4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18
